Terms of Use

Effective Date: October 5, 2026

Welcome

These Terms explain the basic rules for using The Haus Of Legends.

We have written them in plain language because we believe you should understand what you are agreeing to. Our goal is not to hide important information behind complicated legal wording. Our goal is to be clear about your rights, our responsibilities, and the rules that help protect our customers, our artists, our visitors, and The Haus Of Legends.

By using parts of our website that require an account, making a purchase, posting comments or reviews, or submitting content through any interactive feature we make available, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you have questions about anything here, you are welcome to contact us.

1. What The Haus Of Legends Is

The Haus Of Legends is an independent creative business, art platform, publisher, educational resource, online store, and creative brand.

Our website may include artwork, prints, limited editions, books, journals, educational resources, digital downloads, articles, merchandise, reviews, and other creative projects.

Some of our products are produced and shipped by outside production partners.

2. You Must Be 18 or Older to Participate

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, make purchases, post comments or reviews, or submit content through any interactive feature we make available.

Public articles, artwork, educational resources, and other parts of the website that do not require an account may still be viewed without registering.

If we discover that an account belongs to someone under 18, we may close the account and remove personal information associated with it when appropriate.

3. Your Account Is Your Responsibility

If you create an account, please provide accurate information and protect your password.

Do not use another person’s account without permission, pretend to be someone else, or create an account for fraudulent purposes.

If you believe someone has gained unauthorized access to your account, contact us.

4. Shopping With The Haus

We sell products that may include artwork, prints, publications, journals, merchandise, digital products, educational materials, and limited-edition items.

Many physical products are made only after you order them. Because products may be printed or produced individually, small differences can sometimes occur between what you see on a screen and the finished product. Screens, materials, printing equipment, lighting, and production methods can all affect appearance.

Prices, product availability, specifications, and product offerings may change.

5. We Do Not Accept Returns

This part is simple: The Haus Of Legends does not accept returns. All sales are final.

If a physical product arrives damaged, defective, or incorrectly produced, that is different. Please contact us according to our Refund & Returns Policy so we can review the problem and determine the appropriate resolution.

Do not send a damaged or defective item back unless we specifically ask you to.

Customers are responsible for providing a correct and complete shipping address. If an order must be shipped or produced again because an incorrect or incomplete address was provided, the customer may be responsible for those additional costs.

Nothing in these Terms removes rights that the law requires us to provide.

6. Digital Products

Buying a digital product does not mean you are buying its copyright.

You are purchasing the right to use that digital product under the license provided with it.

For example, some digital artwork may be sold for personal use only. That does not automatically give you permission to resell it, distribute the file, make merchandise from it, use it in advertising, or use it commercially.

If a digital product has its own licensing terms, those terms apply to that product.

If you are interested in using a digital artwork or other Haus Of Legends content for commercial, promotional, publishing, merchandise, or other licensed use, please contact us to discuss licensing options.

7. Educational Information

The Haus Of Legends publishes educational information about art, creativity, publishing, artificial intelligence, artistic practice, copyright awareness, and other subjects.

We work hard to make our educational materials useful and accurate. However, educational information on this website should not be treated as personal legal, financial, tax, medical, or other professional advice.

8. If We Introduce Artwork-Sharing Features

Your artwork stays yours. If The Haus Of Legends introduces an artwork-sharing feature in the future, submitting artwork through that feature will not transfer ownership of the artwork to us.

The Haus Of Legends does not currently operate a general artwork-upload or discussion forum. If we introduce an artwork-sharing feature later, we will explain the feature and its rules before it becomes available.

If a future feature allows you to submit artwork, we will not gain the right to sell it, put it on merchandise, license it to somebody else, use it in advertising, turn it into an NFT or similar product, or otherwise commercially exploit it simply because you submitted it through that feature.

If we ever want to use submitted artwork for something outside the normal operation of that feature, we will ask you first.

9. We Will Not Use Submitted Artwork to Train AI

The Haus Of Legends will not use artwork submitted through a future artwork-sharing feature to train generative AI or machine-learning models.

We will not knowingly add submitted artwork to an AI-training dataset, sell submitted artwork as AI-training data, license submitted artwork for AI training, give submitted artwork to another company for AI training, or treat submission through such a feature as permission for AI training.

Submitting artwork through a future Haus Of Legends feature does not mean you have agreed to any of those things.

10. What Permission Do We Actually Need?

If we introduce an artwork-sharing feature, the website cannot display submitted artwork without technically handling the image.

So if you choose to submit artwork through such a feature, you give The Haus Of Legends limited permission to store it, display it, create a smaller preview or thumbnail, compress it for web use, send it to browsers or devices, back it up, scan it for security purposes, and moderate it when necessary.

That is the permission you are giving us. Nothing more.

That permission does not allow us to independently sell, advertise with, merchandise, license, or commercially exploit your artwork.

If you remove submitted artwork from a future feature, our normal permission to display it ends. Copies may temporarily remain in backups, security systems, or records that cannot be instantly deleted.

11. We Do Not Allow Artwork Scraping

Artists should not have to assume that displaying work on a website means giving strangers permission to harvest it.

Unauthorized scraping and automated collection of protected artwork are prohibited.

You may not use bots, crawlers, automated downloaders, scraping programs, AI agents, dataset-building tools, or similar systems to systematically collect artwork from The Haus Of Legends without permission.

You may not collect artwork displayed on The Haus Of Legends for AI training, machine-learning datasets, generative-model development, commercial image databases, bulk image archives, or similar automated uses.

You may also not deliberately bypass security systems, rate limits, access controls, anti-bot measures, or other protections we use to help protect the website and its content.

12. What We Can and Cannot Promise About Artwork Security

We intend to use reasonable technical protections to make automated scraping, bulk downloading, and other misuse more difficult.

But we also want to be truthful. No website can completely prevent someone from taking a screenshot, photographing a screen, copying something they can see, or finding another way to misuse material online.

So we cannot promise that unauthorized copying will never happen. What we can promise is that protecting artists’ work matters to us, and we will use reasonable measures to discourage systematic misuse and respond when we become aware of serious problems.

13. Treat People Like People

The Haus Of Legends is intended to be a respectful creative space.

Do not use it to harass, threaten, stalk, defraud, impersonate, intimidate, spam, or deliberately harm other people.

Do not upload malware or attempt to interfere with the website. Do not post material that you know you do not have permission to share. Do not deliberately violate someone else’s copyright, privacy, or other legal rights.

Healthy disagreement is allowed. Abuse is not.

14. You Are Responsible for What You Post

If you post comments, reviews, writing, images, or other material through an available website feature, you are responsible for it.

Only submit material that belongs to you or that you have permission to share.

You keep whatever ownership rights you already have in your content. We only need enough permission to store, display, transmit, moderate, and operate submitted content as part of the website feature through which you provide it.

You are not giving The Haus Of Legends a perpetual commercial license to everything you submit simply because you use an interactive feature.

15. We May Moderate Submitted Content

Sometimes we may need to remove content or restrict an account.

We may do that when reasonably necessary to enforce these rules, protect another person, stop harassment or abuse, respond to copyright complaints, protect website security, address fraud, remove illegal material, or deal with repeated serious violations.

We may also create separate guidelines for comments, reviews, or future interactive features when appropriate.

16. The Haus Of Legends Content Is Protected Too

The same respect we expect for user-submitted content also applies to artwork and material created or published by The Haus Of Legends.

Unless we say otherwise, our artwork, writing, graphics, publications, educational resources, designs, photographs, branding, and other original material remain protected by copyright and other applicable rights.

Viewing something on our website does not mean it becomes free for commercial use. Please do not steal it, resell it, scrape it, republish it, build datasets from it, or use it commercially without permission.

17. Copyright & DMCA Complaints

We respect copyright and maintain a registered DMCA Designated Agent with the U.S. Copyright Office.

If you believe material on our website infringes your copyright, please follow our Copyright & DMCA Policy.

Formal DMCA notices and counter-notices should be sent to DMCA@thehausoflegends.com. General copyright and licensing questions may be sent to Info@thehausoflegends.com.

We review legitimate copyright complaints and may remove or restrict access to disputed material when appropriate. Repeated copyright infringement may result in suspension or closure of an account.

18. Do Not Attack or Abuse the Website

Please do not attempt to hack the website, access another person’s account, access restricted administrative areas, introduce malware, exploit security vulnerabilities, circumvent access controls, overload the website with automated requests, or interfere with normal website operation.

If you discover a legitimate security problem, please report it privately rather than exploiting it.

19. Third-Party Services

The Haus Of Legends uses outside companies to help operate the website and business. These may include services for payment processing, product printing, order fulfillment, website hosting, email, analytics, security, spam prevention, social-media features, and other technical services.

Those companies may have their own terms and privacy practices. Our Privacy Policy explains more about how personal information is handled.

20. Links to Other Websites

We may link to websites or resources that we do not own.

A link does not automatically mean we endorse everything on that website. Once you leave The Haus Of Legends, the other website’s rules and privacy practices may apply.

21. Email and Other Communications

If you make a purchase or create an account, we may need to contact you about things such as your order, account, security, or requested services. Those are transactional communications.

Marketing emails and newsletters are different. You can unsubscribe from promotional email using the unsubscribe option provided in those messages.

Unsubscribing from marketing does not necessarily stop messages that are necessary to complete an order or maintain your account.

22. We Cannot Promise the Website Will Always Be Perfect

We work to keep the website accurate, secure, and available. But websites sometimes break, services sometimes go offline, information sometimes becomes outdated, and third-party systems sometimes fail.

We cannot promise that every part of the website will always work perfectly or be available without interruption.

If the law gives you rights that cannot legally be waived, nothing in these Terms takes those rights away.

23. Limits on Our Responsibility

Where the law allows it, The Haus Of Legends is not responsible for indirect or unexpected losses caused by the use of the website or services.

This does not remove responsibilities that we are legally required to have. In other words, these Terms are meant to reasonably protect The Haus Of Legends. They are not intended to take away rights that the law says you must have.

24. We May Change or Remove Website Features

The Haus Of Legends will continue to grow. We may add, change, reorganize, replace, or discontinue parts of the website.

A feature available today may work differently in the future. If a new service needs its own rules, we may provide additional terms for that service.

25. We May Suspend or Close Accounts for Serious Violations

We may suspend or close an account when someone seriously or repeatedly violates these Terms.

Examples include fraud, harassment, repeated copyright infringement, hacking attempts, malicious activity, serious abuse of other users, deliberately compromising website security, or using the service for illegal activity.

Where reasonable, we may give someone an opportunity to correct a problem before closing an account.

26. These Terms May Change

The Haus Of Legends will evolve, and these Terms may need to evolve with it.

If we make important changes, we will update the effective date. For major changes, we may also provide additional notice.

We do not want important changes hidden from you.

27. California Law

The Haus Of Legends operates from California.

These Terms are generally governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable federal law.

Nothing here removes consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.

28. If One Part of These Terms Does Not Work

If a court determines that one part of these Terms cannot legally be enforced, that does not automatically invalidate everything else. The rest of the Terms can continue to apply.

Questions?

Legal policies should not be mysteries. If you do not understand something in these Terms, you are welcome to ask us.
