A dragon is a legendary, reptilian creature found in the mythologies of cultures worldwide. They are traditionally depicted in two main archetypes: serpentine, benevolent deities in East Asia and massive, fire-breathing, winged monsters in Western folklore. The word itself originates from the ancient Greek drakōn, meaning a “serpent of huge size.”
