My name is Iain Smillie and this is who I was, who i became, and what I will be. Unique, Authentically Me, Original and Genuine, One of A Kind. I am me.

— I am a creator, artist, photographer, designer, writer, an all-around creative talent. I was born in March 1973 in Glasgow, Scotland, and immigrated to the US with my parents in 1979.
I am an Experienced Creative Artist Graphic Art Design, Copywriter and Photographer with Skills in a variety of creative services.
I am a dynamic innovative critical Thinker.
I enjoy Nature, Creative Writing, Digital Photography, Digital Art, Music, Event Production and volunteering for Non-Profit LGBTQ Community Services, HIV outreach and HIV awareness.
I became HIV positive in February 14th, 2014 and have remained undetectable after i started starting treatment.
A Multifaceted Individual
I am an amazingly complex individual—moody and emotional, transparent like water. I cry tears of joy and appreciate the little things in life. Daydreaming is a significant part of my life, as I seek to understand the patterns of existence by observing and connecting with nature. My curiosity leads me to constantly ask how things work, how things are made, I love to observe.
Artistic Essence
I am imaginative and sensitive, compassionate and kind, selfless and unworldly. My intuition and sympathy guide me through life, and my uniqueness shines through my distinctive, genuine, and unconventional approach to everything I do. I am one-of-a-kind—authentic, original, and sincere. My individuality stands out as exceptional, quirky, and irreplaceable. I embrace my peculiar, nonconformist, and eccentric qualities, making me a standout in a world of commonality.









My Journey
For over 30 years, I have been a dedicated LGBTQ+ community activist and advocate for HIV Awareness, passionately engaging in photography, writing, design, nightlife entertainment, event production, and community outreach and advocacy.
My commitment to the LGBTQ+ community has seen me collaborate with numerous non-profit organizations and service providers. Including serving Pride Festivals, HIV Fundraisers, Nightclub Entertainment Columnist as well a key person in establish the SGV Pride Center.
In the early 2000s I was lucky enough to through my connections in the Adult Entertainment to secure a position as the Manager of a New 44,000 sqft nightclub called Empire. I have produced hundreds of special events, productions and shows.
I am most proud of Establishing and Producing the very 1st Queer Prom in the San Gabriel Valley, 32 High School Cities were represented with performances by Rupaul’s Drag Race Contestants.
In elementary School, I auditioned and was accepted into a prestigious historical choir, The Pasadena Boys Choir. It is here I explored my passion for music, developing my talents, and learning everything I could about music. I was elevated from Beginners to the Concert group before I graduated my freshman year in high school
During my High School years, as a freshman I joined the Newspaper Staff and the Photography club, and throughout High School I could be seen at all the sporting events, and campus activities shooting pictures and conducting interviews. I became the Editor of the Entertainment and Sports Sections of the HS Newspaper The Monrovia Wildcat. During my Sophomore year, I was Co-Editor in Chief. In my free time I shoot for the Year Book, and worked to produce an end of the year production called Wild Cat Tales. In the evenings I attending advanced college courses in BW and Color photography. I graduated in 1991.
My Journey began when I was 19 after coming out of the closet as gay. Soon after I found myself working in the exciting fabulous world of a local gay nightclub, where I spent a decade working as a waiter, bartender, and drag queen entertainer.
My Journey transitioned into sales and distribution in the Gay Adult Entertainment Industry. For a decade my integrity and my commitment to my product lead to my becoming a studio executive for three gay adult entertainment production companies. One of which became the largest gay-owned and operated adult content provider globally.
When the Digital Revolution changed the Adult Entertainment Industry, I retired and focused my time on my becoming a freelance graphic art designer. I went back to school and studied Graphic Art Design and Communication, AA.
Creative Pursuits
I continue to cherish my creativity, capturing beautiful moments on social media and my website, www.thehausoflegends.com. My blog covers various relevant topics, and my photography contributions as a level 7 local Google Maps guide have recently reached 10 million views.
Future Aspirations
My heart remains firmly committed to fostering inclusivity, empowering LGBTQ+ youth, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of those I serve. I am dedicated to developing my website, creating an e-commerce shop, maintaining an online gallery of my artwork making my work accessible to any budget. and exploring the new world of Assisted AI Art.
Inspirational Journey
As I continue to create diverse, one-of-a-kind artworks with a renewed passion, I explore the new world of Assisted AI, taking advantage of my extensive education and training in the principles and elements of art, photography, and design. My journey to inspire and empower others to be legendary continues as I enter a new chapter in my life.
