You Don’t Need a Reason to Love
New Single, Untiled Album. Dance, Pop, Edm, Rock Inspirational.
The inspiration came from everyday life, walking down the street and always feeling invisiable to others… walking past each other and not acknowledging with the smallest sign of being human, making eye contact, nodding your head, showing them a smile, saying good morning, or hello. This simple act of unconditional love when practiced can change the world. You don’t need a reason to love. When you listen to this song, I hope you are inspired to take the chance and reach out to people you come into contact with while in public.. make eye contact, smile, say hello, hows it going.. you dont need to stop, no need for a conversation, it takes no effort to acknowledge the other person. When you do this, the action is contagious. That one person will without thinking, will do the same to someone else, and each person who is touched will pass it on. If we did this tiny little excersie, the world would be a better place, and perhaps things will different, and people will walk around knowing that you don’t need a reason to love. Pass It On. Thank you, take a listen, i hope you enjoy and that it brings a smile to your face, and a lift to your heart, as it has for me in creating this song for you. – Iain Smillie.

Verse 1
We walk these streets like we’re invisible
Eyes to the ground, staying small
A thousand stories pass us by
But we don’t see them at all
Headphones in, hearts shut down
Built these walls so high
But all it takes is just one glance
To remind us we’re alive
Pre-Chorus
You don’t need a reason
You don’t need a plan
Just a moment of courage
To reach out your hand
Chorus
Say hello
Let it show
You were never meant to be alone
Just a smile Goes a mile
Further than you’ll ever know
Light it up
One by one
Like a spark into the unknown
It’s not gone
Love lives on
When you pass it on
Verse 2
I saw a stranger look my way
Like they were waiting to be seen
So I let my guard fall for a second
And gave them something real, something clean
And in that space between two souls
Something shifted in the air
Like the world slowed down to whisper
“We were always meant to care”
Pre-Chorus
It’s a quiet revolution
No one writes it down
But it moves through the silence
Every city, every town
Chorus
Say hello
Let it show
You were never meant to be alone
Just a smile
Goes a mile
Further than you’ll ever know
Light it up
One by one
Like a spark into the unknown
It’s not gone
Love lives on
When you pass it on
Bridge
What if kindness is the language
We forgot how to speak?
What if strength isn’t armor
But the courage to be seen?
What if love isn’t something
That we fall into by chance?
What if it’s in every moment
We decide to take a stance?
Break
(soft, almost spoken)
Look up…
They’re right there.
Final Chorus (lift)
Say hello
Let it show
We were never meant to be alone
Just a smile
Stays a while
Long after the moment’s gone
Light it up
One by one
Watch it spread into the unknown
It’s not gone
Love lives on
Every time you pass it on
Outro
So pass it on…
Pass it on…
You never know who needs it…
Till you become the reason…
